Week 3 already? Goodness gracious!
In Maths, we're beginning to explore more efficient addition and subtraction strategies and commutative law to check the answers to our work. Bernard gave us a useful piece of advice when creating addition and subtraction problems:
"In addition the answer is the SUM and the largest number is at the END of the number sentence.
In subtraction the answer is the DIFFERENCE and the largest number is at the START of the number sentence".
We also put the data that we collected over the school holidays (what times we went to sleep) to good use, presenting the information on a graph.
In English we have been getting a grip on figurative language. We found it amusing to interpret idioms and similes literally and figuratively, so we decided to illustrate some.
And finally, we've been practicing being Cybersafe when using digital technologies.
