We've had a very busy few weeks.
In Maths, we've been working on measurement and perimeter, as well as adding and subtracting money.
We've been measuring things in the classroom, outside of the classroom and have created a city skyline using perimeter.
*Please note that the maths incursion has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.
In Writing, we're onto the final stages of drafting and publishing our adventure narratives.
Our heroes are on a quest to save someone, find something or destroy something. They will face multiple setbacks on the way to the final conflict and resolution, ultimately being successful and achieving their goals. We'll be finished soon, so ask us about them.
We have also been dissecting fruit and plants as part of our Integrated unit on flower life cycles. Hopefully the bean seeds we germinated at school have been replanted at home and will give us some yummy broad beans to cook with.
The 3/4s have been involved in touch rugby sessions on a Wednesday afternoon. It's a great way for us to run around and warm up in the ever cooling weather.
And finally, Amanda (who is a Melbourne University Teacher Colleague) will be finishing up with us next week. Then she'll be off to the great wide world of teaching herself. It's been really great to have her in the classroom and she has definitely been a benefit to our learning over her time with us.
