It's already near the end of Term 3!
And what an eventful term it has been.
We have written poetry books, discussion texts (about whether teachers should wear school uniforms) and are now writing biographies of a peer. As you know, we have lead eventful lives in our nine or ten years...
In Math we have worked on strategies to recall multiplication and division facts, which is helping us to solve area and fraction problems.
We're into exploring Australia's pre-colonial history in Integrated, looking at life for our Indigenous elders before and at the time of settlement. For the rest of term, we are working on completing a portfolio of activities that demonstrate our understanding of significant people and events during this time.
These past two weeks have been pretty cool because we have had incursions.
The PLANKS incursion as part of Maths was awesome! We built structures with blocks, using what we know about geometry and shape to create a unique structure.
This week we have our Literacy incursion and our Integrated incursions too.
Parents, don't forget that Tuesday 19th of September is the night of our student lead conferences. Please book a time to come and view your child's Weebly and other work they are proud of.
